Revived local football club, Dunbar Athletic has received a sponsorship boost from local company Tarmac.

For a group of Berwickshire rugby players, this year’s annual tour had an added attraction – a coaching session carried out by the Sale Sharks Academy! The Berwickshire Schools Under 15s (made of players from Duns High School and Eyemouth High School) travelled to Sale in Manchester and, as part of the tour, were given a coaching session at the AJ Bell stadium.

Tarmac’s Dunbar drivers and logistics teams are celebrating their part in the company achieving FORS Gold accreditation for the management of its road transport fleet nationwide.

A group of more than 20 University students from Derby has travelled north to enjoy an in-depth look at the quarry at Tarmac’s Dunbar cement plant – as part of a study tour of the North of England and Scotland.
