A major construction project at Scotland’s only cement plant is on track to deliver a major improvement in energy efficiency.
Tarmac’s Cement and Lime business has announced it is boosting the sustainability of its operations at Dunbar cement plant by signing an agreement with a leading Scottish resource management company, Hamilton Waste and Recycling (Hamilton), for the supply of Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF).

For two rugby clubs, the Six Nations took a backseat this weekend as Dunbar Rugby Club joined with friends from across the water to take part in the 67th Friendship Shield match – this year hosted here in East Lothian. The Shield this year is retained by the Irish Club who beat Dunbar 33-26.

The Berwickshire Schools Under 15s (made of players from Duns High School and Eyemouth High School) travelled to Sale in Manchester and, as part of the tour, were given a coaching session at the AJ Bell stadium.
